Dr. Fariborz Davoodi

Dr. Davoodi  completed his medical education at the University of Texas  Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX, in 1986 and completed a 3-year Family Medicine residency in Wichita Falls, Texas in 1989. He specializes in Family Medicine and has been board-certified since 1989. He is also board-certified in Sleep Medicine. He has been practicing in the area intermittently since 1992. He treats patients of all ages , infants to mature Adults.
 
Dr. Davoodi is married and has four children, 2 boys and 2 girls.As of 2010, he has three in college.
  
 
Dr. Davoodi was born in Abadan, Iran, where he lived until graduating from high school. He then came to the United States for higher education at the age 16. Once here, due to political changes and later because of his religious affiliation, he became a US citizen and has not been able to visit Iran since.
 
Dr. Davoodi's ancestry is from the Bakhtiari Tribe. Many of his summers during childhood were spent in the Bakhtiari mountains, which he still recalls fondly.
 
He is an active member of the The Bahá'í Faith. He views each person from Baháí perspective: as a spiritual being regardless of their religious affiliation or lack thereof. This means that each person must be treated respectfully regardless of their station in society.
 
Dr. Davoodi has also been very active with the Committee to celebrate MLK Day( Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day.) This is his favorite civic activity where unity of humanity is celebrated. He is very active in the community and the LISD school district. You can usually find him on Friday nights, during football season, sitting amongst the Flower Mound High School Band as one of their volunteer Medics.

 Human evolution has always been an area of Dr. Davoodi's interest since his childhood. As a result of this, he wrote a book entitled Human Evolution: Directed? It is a unification of science and religion.
